Greetings, and Welcome to Hamilton Township from Gene Duvelius. 

As a life long resident, born and raised in Hamilton Township, I have a great desire to see our community be the best that it can be.  My parents, Else and Louis Duvelius and grandparents, Ressel and Malcom Nay, instilled solid family core values in my brother Mark and I, at an early age.  These values have been carried on through our families.   My wife, Sharon and I have two daughters and a son-in-law, who reside in the township.  All of us have attended and graduated from the Little Miami Schools.  Our children are continuing their education at the University of Cincinnati.   I attended the University of Cincinnati, Raymond Walters College and the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.

Public service has been a major part of my life. At a young age in scouting, I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.  My service continued through Fire & EMS and into Law Enforcement.  I served as the liaison Officer In Charge of the Hamilton Township Post (WCSO).  Then I was appointed the first Chief of Police for Hamilton Township, serving from 1993 to 2005.  Currently, I am in corporate security assigned to the Bethesda Arrow Springs Medical Center in Lebanon. 

I worked closely with all township departments in the past, and I am looking forward to that association again.  I anticipate working closely with the residents of this community too.  I am committed to the concept of, “Working Together, Gets the Job Done”.  Simply, it means that as a trustee we need to hear your thoughts and ideas for our community.  One of my goals is to have the community be more involved in guiding the direction of their government.  My door is always open for input and comment.   Our future is dependent on the present as we learn from our past.  Hamilton Township is the best place to live and bring up family!
