Know where you live !!!

There seems to be a consensus that if your address says it is Morrow, Ohio; Loveland, Ohio, South Lebanon, Ohio; Goshen, Ohio; or Maineville, Ohio that you live in those areas. These are your postal delivery areas ONLY. They are not where you really live.

The Township would like for you to know where you actually live, since the Township’s road funding from State and a lot of funding that comes from the Federal level is calculated as per capita, or population. This is also true when you renew your vehicle license each year. There is $5.00 of every vehicle license fee that is returned to the Township each year to help with road maintenance. If you do not know where you live, other than to give your postal address that $5.00 will go to the village or city that you receive your mail from and the Township receives nothing.

There are many homes that are actually located within the boundaries of Hamilton Township and receive their mail from another village or city, including Maineville, Morrow, South Lebanon, Goshen, and Loveland.

It is imperative that you know the difference, in order for Hamilton Township to receive the proper funding to help maintain the roads and other areas from the extra $5.00 that you spend for your license plates each year.

Also check to make sure you are not paying earnings tax that you should not be paying. If you live within the Township you are not subject to pay earnings tax, unless you work within a City or Village. Your mailing address does not reflect this informantion.You receive a property tax bill in February and July of each year and that bill will also tell you where your property is located. It will either mention the village you are in or it will say Hamilton Township. Please check this on your bill.

There are also maps that you can pick up at the Township to tell you what area you are in.
