Gas Aggregation
In November of 2009, the voters of Hamilton Township approved a ballot issue to allow Hamilton Township to become a certified Natural Gas Aggregator and permit the Hamilton Township Trustees to begin an Opt-Out Natural Gas Aggregation Program for the residents of Hamilton Township.

Electric Aggregation
On August 3, 2011 the Hamilton Township Trustees passed Resolution 11-0803 which places the issue of Electric Aggregation on the November 2, 2011 ballot. Voters in Hamilton Township will decide whether to enact an Opt-Out Electric Aggregation Program similar to the Opt-Out Natural Gas Aggregation Program approved in 2009.
On November 8th, 2011 the voters of Hamilton Township passed the electric aggreagtion issue on the ballot. Hamilton Township will now work with a consultant to obtain PUCO certification and begin the process of obtaining bids from electric suppliers.
On December 28th, 2011 and January 3rd, 2012, Hamilton Township conducted meetings to discuss the Operational Plans for the Township's Aggregation Service. Notice of the advertisements were placed in the local newspaper. The Township Trustees will now send the Operations Plan to the Public Utulities Commission and ask that Hamilton Township be certified as an electric aggregator in the State of Ohio.
The Township will now start the process of drafting an RFP to submit to electric suppliers. It is the intent of the Township to select an energy supplier by the end of February and begin to offer the rate to township residents by late April, early May.
