Before You Drive Your Golf Cart on Township Roads
Golf carts are permitted on designated township roads when operated in accordance with Ohio law and township regulations. Before taking your golf cart on a public roadway, please ensure all requirements have been met.
Requirements
Before operating a golf cart on township roads, you must:
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Properly register your golf cart
- Maintain any required insurance coverage
- Complete the required vehicle inspection
- Have functioning taillights and brake lights
- Obey all traffic laws and regulations
- Operate only on roads with posted speed limits of 25 mph or less
Golf Cart Inspections
Golf cart inspections are conducted by appointment only on:
- Tuesdays
- Thursdays

Important Reminder
Failure to meet any of the above requirements may result in the golf cart being prohibited from operation on public roadways and may subject the operator to enforcement action. Always ensure your golf cart remains compliant before driving on township roads.
